Who we are..
Community Action for Environmental Management (CAEM) is a non-profit organization based in Malawi. We are dedicated to promoting sustainable development by integrating gender and social inclusion across our focus areas of agriculture and food security, environmental and natural resource management, disaster risk management, and environmental health.
We believe in empowering communities, especially women and marginalized groups, to actively engage in development processes that ensure sustainable and equitable progress.

Management of the environment and natural resources, through empowering communities for ownership of their resources.
Agriculture and Food Security
Our goal is to ensure that communities have access to sufficient, safe, and nutritious food, even in the face of climate change and economic challenges.
Disaster Risk Management
Disasters such as floods, droughts, and cyclones disproportionately affect vulnerable communities. CAEM focuses on building resilience.
Environmental Health
Environmental health is critical CAEM addresses issues related to water, sanitation, waste management, and air quality, with a focus on the gendered impacts of these challenges.
